Amsterdam Born Children and their Development

The ABCD study is a long-term, large-scale cohort study examining the health of 8,000 children born in Amsterdam. In a protocol with three phases, our focus is mainly on factors during the mother’s pregnancy and the early years of the child which may influence the health of these children in later years. Our study is unique in its design, multi-cultural composition, completeness and cost-effectiveness regarding data collection and analyses.
