Filling in the questionnaire

Q: Is it possible to fill out the questionnaires in a language other than Dutch?
A:Yes, this is possible. Online, the questionnaires are available in Dutch and English, but only for the mother and father. If you prefer to fill out the questionnaire in Turkish, please return the reply card or contact the ABCD study through our contact details below so we can send you a paper questionnaire in Turkish.

Q: Is it possible to fill out the questionnaires on paper?
A:Yes, this is possible. If you prefer to fill out the questionnaires on paper, please return the reply card or contact the ABCD study through our contact details below, so we can send you a paper questionnaire. Paper questionnaires are available in Dutch, English and Turkish. Paper versions of the children’s and teacher’s questionnaires are only available in Dutch.

Q: I want to change an answer in a section that I’ve already closed. Is this possible?
A:The questionnaire is broken up into sections. Within a section you can go back and change your answers, but when you click ‘Save’ then you cannot go back anymore. If you contact us personally, we can take note of the change you want to make and make the change on our end.

Q: I don’t have enough time to finish all sections of the questionnaire. Are the answers I’ve filled in so far saved?
A:It is possible to answer some of the questions and finish at another time. However, you do need to finish each section completely (ie. Don’t close a section after you’ve finished it only partway) because the questions you have already answered will not be saved.

Q: I’ve just finished a section and clicked on ‘save’, but now it says that I need to do it again. Can I skip this part?
A:It’s possible that there was a problem with the communication between your and our servers, which is why you have not continued to the next section. In general this will never happen, but you can choose to do this section again. You can also contact us and we can check if your answers were saved and move you manually to the next section.

Q: My screen has frozen in a section and now I can’t finish the questionnaire. What do I need to do?
A:We have extensively tested the questionnaire, but sometimes things still go wrong. If this has happened to you contact us at the e-mail or phone number above and we will solve the problem for you as soon as possible.
